Holiday Pounds
Come From Only Four Foods

 

Most of us will gain at least a few pounds between Thanksgiving and the New Year. Some nutrition experts say it's because of only four foods we tend to eat more of during the holiday season:

  • Nuts
  • E ggnog (one cup of regular eggnog is like drinking a cheeseburger)
  • F ruitcake
  • C hocolate

When you combine these foods with decreased activity--put on the back burner because we're busy with holiday activities or due to winter weather--it can be disastrous for your waistline.

If you want to include these traditional holiday foods without the traditional holiday weight gain, just remember to watch your portion sizes and continue your regular exercise program.
