What Are You Missing?

Think your diet is healthy and well rounded? A recent report showed that many of us are probably not getting enough important nutrients--and we don't even know it!

While it's hard to imagine that with all the food available to us, we could possibly be missing out on vitamins and minerals our bodies need, the report, which combined results of several studies on diets, states that there are seven nutrients critical to living longer and staying well that both men and women should make sure they are getting in their diets.

And if you're wondering why you can't just take a vitamin or two instead of eating more of the following foods, forget it! Researchers say there's stuff in these foods, which contribute to the colors, flavors, and textures, that you'd never get from a pill.

Fiber

Calcium, plentiful in dairy foods

Folic acid, a B vitamin found in fortified cereal
